Use the following nine methods of brainstorming earn loads of ingredients to name the new product. Have fun while doing this because it encourages a playful attitudeCreativity.
1 Consult a thesaurus - or two. Thesaurus.com online is a good place. I have three printed thesauri, which lead to different results. Some contain more slang than others, and have more of the list of members of different categories such as animals, colors, food, utensils, etc.
2 Play the metaphor of the game. "If that would be a vegetable?" Think of metaphors for different areas, such as music, sports, war, country, medicine andAnimals and write words, phrases and ideas that seem to have a relationship with your naming challenge. For example, from the world of music, you can write the symphony, improvisation, rap, song, key, conductor, keyboard and more. We could then think of the name of your perfume sensual symphony.
3 Take a look at directory listings. You can search the lists of companies that are trying to call, in an area closely related or a completely different one. With reference to theseListening to another country is also instructive. You can check this, trying to associations with membership lists, or doing a general search on Google for something "list child care business," "child-care activities" or "child care company in California." You can not try something different with only the memory of the most important words, phrases and ideas to copy.
4 U.S. requested random. This does open the yellow pages at random and see what ideas suggests that side. Get a set of ScrabbleTiles, select a letter and be sure to list words beginning with those letters that relate to the topic. Look through magazines will not (both articles and ads) related to your topic and make them sparkle opportunities.
5 Browse the indexes book. Go to your library (or in a library or bookstore), pull-down four or five books in your subject area and look through the index to the concepts, names, words and phrases in one eye.
6 Imagine the worst! Suppose you need to dowork dumbest possible name and make a list of all words and phrases, or a simpleton slacker would come up to get the job done as quickly as possible.
7 Role play. If you were Rudy Giuliani, Oprah Winfrey, Bob Dylan, your leader, to five years, an Italian stone mason, Charlie Brown, Alfred Hitchcock, a motormouth Sports Reporter, Walt Disney and Emily Dickinson, what words will you come with your name or slogan?
8 Be inspired opposites. What ison, if you think 10 of these contradictions in relation to its subject?
